Subject: Students vs. Staff Game - Reminder & What You Need to Know!!
Date: March 13th 2019

Hello ABE Families,

It is hard to believe that we are only one week away from the highly anticipated students vs. staff game!  As a reminder, this game will take place on Wednesday, March 20th from 6:00 p.m. until approximately 9:00 p.m.  The location will be the LECC building, which is the old Craig Middle School, located at 6501 Sunnyside Road.  We will be in the large gym and you can enter through door 7, which is towards the back of the building.  This event is open to all ABE students and their families.

Pizza & water will be available and provided by Dads' Club free of charge - while supplies last.

If you do not have a child participating:  You should still plan on attending!  This event is fun for the whole family.  The LN/LC pep band will be there, the Indiana Pacers Fan Van will be there, the Pacerw will be giving out free souveneirs, BOOMER will be performing a dunk show for all attendees, and of course the highlight of the evening will be watching the 4th, 5th and 6th graders defending their title against a stout team of ABE staff members!

If your child participated in Dads' Club Basketball:  Please have them wear their jersey to the event.  They will be recognized by name in front of the crowd for their hard work this season.  They will receive their medals and team photos at this game.  We have them go first so that if our youngest stars need to leave a little early for bedtime, they are able to.  That being said, please arrive at 6:00!  If your child is late to showing up for their team being called, they will miss their opportunity to be recognized.  We have a tight schedule to keep and will need to keep things moving.

If you have a 3rd grader participating in the 3rd grade free throw contest:  Please have them wear a blue shirt.  The rules for the free throw contest will be that every student gets one shot.  If they make the shot, they stay in.  If they miss the shot, they are out.  We will continue through rounds until there is one 3rd grader remaining.  The winner of the free throw contest will have their name added to the plaque that sits in the ABE front lobby.

If your child is an alternate on one of the 4th, 5th, or 6th grade teams:  Please have them dressed and ready to play.  We will do our best to work them into the game.  There are no promises, but we will try.  Please have them wear a blue shirt.

If your child is playing on one of the 4th, 5th or 6th grade teams:  Please make sure to arrive on time for the event so that they do not miss their name being announced for the game.  Please have all students playing wear a blue shirt for the game.

If you have any questions, please respond to me at scott.maskel@morganstanley.com.  If you reply to this email, your response goes to Mr. Pennington.

It's time for some March Madness...........ABE style!!!

Best regards,

Scott Maskel
