Because of all of our awesome Star Families, we CRUSHED our fundraising goal!  Laps completed have been entered into the system, and if we collect every pledge, we are on our way to breaking the $20,000 raised for our school mark!

At midnight tonight, we will take the Top 10 over all fundraisers, and the top student in each class…(AND if one of the top 10 is in your class…we’ll go to the second “top” fundraiser in your class!).  Those students will be the ones dumping the slime on Mr. Pennington!  We are researching to find the best and most disgusting way to SLIME Mr. Pennington!  We also still have our “secret” bonus activity that will happen during the same convocation…stay tuned!

Currently, the Top Ten Fundraisers in our building range from $1,570 to $395 dollars!  

Flat donation pledges can continue to be accepted and entered until THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 28!! Students will still earn prizes for their flat donations up to February 28 on funrun.com OR by sending in an envelope marked with your student and teacher’s name and donation amount (the ABFA will get those entered manually into the system).

2018-2019 YEARBOOKS

Amy Beverland Elementary yearbooks are now on available for purchase for $15. The deadline for purchasing yearbooks is Friday, March 8. You may purchase them one of two ways:

1.     Online by visiting www.inter-state.com/yearbook and enter the code 34547G

2.     Complete the information on the envelope that came home with your Star and return it with cash, check or money order made payable to Amy Beverland Elementary School

Safety in all forms is our #1 priority at Amy Beverland Elementary. We want students and parents to Speak Out against bullying. Upon submission of this form, Mrs. Osborn and Mr. Pennington will receive a notification and thoroughly investigate the matter. Thank you for helping keep our school safe for all students!


Review Messages:


We absolutely love having volunteers and visitors at Amy Beverland Elementary. It is extremely powerful and meaningful to your children to have you involved when possible. With that said, our number one priority is the safety of our students and staff. There has been communication via multiple outlets that a cleared background check must be on file to go beyond the office and lobby area during school hours. ABE is scheduled for a major, three phase renovation beginning in June 2019. The renovation project will include:

·         Additional teaching/learning spaces

·         A parking lot/entrance(s) makeover

·         New flooring, lighting, walls, etc.

You will have an opportunity to provide input before the start of the renovation.

Sixth graders and potential transfer students are invited to spend a day in the life of a Belzer or Fall Creek Valley student with your personal tour guide and experience our environment, tour our state of the art facility, meet students and teachers, enjoy a complimentary lunch, and experience middle school life first hand.

There are many excellent musical opportunities for the students at ABE. Click here to see dates for music performances and clubs available to each grade level.  



Prior to stepping on school ground, all students should turn cell phones off and put them away in their backpacks. These may be powered on after stepping off school property. Parents, please be reminded that your cell phone calls should be completed prior to entering the front office. Thank you for your consideration.



If door #7 is closed at arrival time, you need to park your car and walk your student into the building. Your student is tardy if they arrive at 8:00 AM or after.

·         Remember to have a note from the doctor or dentist when arriving from an appointment.

Please help us with dismissal. If you know your student is going to be picked up early for an appointment or you have changed their dismissal pickup in any way, please write a note to be given to the teacher upon arrival. If there is an emergency during the day and you need to change your child’s dismissal, you may do so if you call the front office by 1:45.

·         Please do NOT email teachers these requests during the day. They do NOT always have the time to check their email prior to dismissal.


By logging into Skyward Family Access (SFA), you can access district links to Canvas and PayPams. You will also have access to your child’s report cards through SFA. Please contact our front office if you’d like to receive paper copies.

·         If you did not complete the RSVP process through SFA for this school year, please do so as soon as possible so we have the most updated information on file.

·         If you do not receive Mr. Pennington’s weekly messages via phone/email, please let our front office know this as well.


The Media Center is always a busy and exciting place. If you love books and working with children, then we have the perfect volunteer opportunity for you. We are presently in need of volunteers to work during classroom exchange every morning from 8:00-9:40.  If you are interested in this fun and rewarding volunteer opportunity, please contact Heidi Donaldson in the Media Center at 964-4075 or heididonaldson@PROTECTED.
